Sterling by Music Man guitars and basses
New Sterling by Music Man guitars and basses are in stock at Woodsy’s Music, Kent Ohio. Our first look at these excellent instruments includes the AX40 guitar (based on a Music Man Axis) the Silo 20 (based on the Silhouette) the SB14 bass (based on the Sterling) and the Ray 34 bass (modeled on the Music Man Stingray).
The Sterling Instruments give you the classic designs of the Ernie Ball Music Man guitars and basses in a mid-priced instrument. For instance, the great looking AX40 pictured here is $549.00 and includes a gig bag. That’s a lot of guitar, with a great feeling asymmetrical neck, a double locking trem and locking nut and a quilted maple top.
The basses are very cool as well. The SB14, modeled on the Music Man Sterling, has active electronics (passive pickups) and utilizes a third “Phantom Coil” with the humbucking pickup to give you a very nice out-of-phase single coil sound in the middle position of the three-way switch. Positions 1 & 2 give you the humbucker in series or parallel mode.
The Ray series basses have Music Man Designed humbuckers and the six-bolt neckpocket, just like a Stingray.
